THERAPY FOR BLACK GIRLS

To be seen,
to be heard,
and to be understood.

So often the stigma surrounding mental health issues and therapy prevents Black women from taking the step of seeing a therapist. This space was developed to present mental health topics in a way that feels more accessible and relevant.

Dr. Joy Harden Bradford is a licensed psychologist, speaker and the host of the wildly popular mental health podcast, Therapy for Black Girls. Her work focuses on making mental health topics more relevant and accessible for Black women and she delights in using pop culture to illustrate psychological concepts.

NETWORK OF OT PRACTITIONERS WITH DISABILITIES & SUPPORTERS

The Network of Occupational Therapy Practitioners with Disabilities and Supporters (NOTPD) is an independent organization and member of the Multicultural, Diversity & Inclusion Network (MDI), a recognized organization of the American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA).  The NOTPD advocates for equal access and inclusion of all occupational therapy practitioners, students, and members of the public in AOTA-sponsored events, programs, and services as well as in the occupational therapy profession as a whole worldwide. The NOTPD serves as a voice for its members on disability issues and is a resource on professional issues faced by disabled OT practitioners and students, disability culture, research, legislation and advocacy. The NOTPD’s ultimate goal is to make AOTA and the occupational therapy profession the world leaders in respecting and promoting equal access and inclusion of all people.
NOTPD was founded in 1995 and began with 2 OTs and an OT student.  We have grown to over 3000+ in 9 countries.  We welcome all Disabled OTs, Disabled OTAs, students with disabilities and allies.
